Pedicures! And goose eggs :(

Pretty, right??

I got my first pedicure yesterday. My toesies are a brilliant red! Mommy said I was being very good. I sat there patiently while she painted them and I even helped her blow them dry. I was so excited to show them off when Daddy got home,  he was very impressed. He said my feet were beautiful! Mommy shared a popsicle with me while we were waiting for my toes to dry. Awesome, awesome afternoon.

Today started out really well. Up at 8:00 sharp, breakfast of pancakes and raspberries, followed by a couple of readings of my favorite book. I was playing with Ben, chasing him around the house, having a ball-- when I tripped on the rug in the dining room and slammed my face on the bench. Oh man did that hurt. I bawled for a good five minutes. And I'm not talking to Ben right now. I have a big lump on my forehead now. Mommy painted my fingernails to match my toes after that, and it really did distract me. I feel so pretty now, even with my new lumpy face. I wish the fall didn't bother me as much as it did, but I've been pretty cranky ever since. Mommy got me a jr. cheeseburger for lunch, which also perked me up. She also made me eat carrots, but that's okay. I like those too.

And tonight we're going to the haunted forest here on base, which will be really fun! I'm going to wear my costume! And then tomorrow, Grandpa John gets here! Looking forward to a fun Halloween weekend. :)

Pillow fighting!!!...!!!!!!

Daddy got off work early yesterday so we all got to hang out before I had to go to bed. He read me my favorite book(--here it is in case you wanted to pick it up for yourself. I highly recommend it.-- http://www.amazon.com/Babies-Emergent-Readers-Susan-Canizares/dp/0439045568/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1288206986&sr=1-1 --) and didn't even complain when I asked him to read it to me a couple more times. We played guitar together. Daddy called it "jamming"... whatever it was, it was fun!

Jamming with Daddy

Pancakes and fruit for dinner, yum! A good long sleep and I was once again ready to face the world :)

What did I do today? Well, I woke up about 5:30 in desperate need of a snack. Daddy was up already and getting dressed for work, I guess, because he brought me some warm milk and kissed me good bye. I was still pretty awake so I kept calling for Mommy and FINALLY, about 6:15 she came in. She was obviously sleepy so I just played with the toys in my room while she "rested her eyes" on my floor. She made me go back to bed at 7:00. But that's okay, I was kind of sleepy again. We were officially up at 8:45 and had a delicious breakfast of raspberries, bananas, and apples. And then...

Mommy and I had a pillow fight!!! She won, but I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. I can't believe we'd never done this before! I've been trying to instigate another one. Hopefully Daddy will be game when he gets off work!

Well, lunch will be soon, and that is always followed by a nap. Until next time! Pisel out

A case of the Mondays.

I know it's Tuesday. But I've got myself a case of the Mondays. My gums hurt. Baaaaaaaad. Mom's been lending me her fingers to chomp down onto, and that does help, but there is just no real relief. Mom won't give me my usual teething tabs because they've been "recalled", whatever that means. Ugh. Personally, I think the six teeth I have already are enough.

Mom chose my outfit today but I was just not interested in what she picked. I want comfort today rather than style so I ran to my room, opened my jammie drawer and grabbed my favorite pair-- the white long johns with the pink and purple polka dots. I'm glad Mom listened to me when I brought them to her. I did present a good argument, but sometimes you just don't know with old people. Thank God she can be reasonable sometimes! Being in my favorite jammies, and getting to wear them all day, can really perk a girl up! That, and chocolate fro-yo. Sometimes, Mom can be pretty cool for her age.

I hung out with Dada for a long time this morning when Mom had to go take a nap (yet another reason to resent my future sibling!). He set me up in my red rocking chair and I watched him play Mass Effect 2. He's very good at shooting the evil aliens. I feel safe with him. Also, he gives me all the Vienna sausages I want. He's the coolest!

Even though I feel pretty crummy today, my day hasn't been all bad. I get to wear my favorite jammies as an outfit, I got to eat fro-yo, and hang out with Dada before he went to work. I just woke up from my nap, and I feel a lot more refreshed. Mom says I get breakfast for dinner so I'm really looking forward to tonight.

But don't worry, my gum pain is not going to stop me from enjoying my Halloween weekend. That costume will be on me again soon!

Until next time! (wish me painless gums, please!)

Sunday!

I love Sundays! Sunday is Daddy's day off. I woke him up at around 7, and then again at around 9. He gave me leftover pizza for breakfast! Then lots of playing! He's a good playmate. He lets me fly around the house and he is pretty skilled at tickling. Mommy put me down for a nap at 11:30. I told them I wasn't sleepy but I slept for two hours so I musta been. When I woke up I had raspberries and cheddar cheese for lunch, not as good as pizza but I still enjoyed it. Then I got to shower with Mommy! I enjoy getting clean and I LOVE washing my hair. Now THAT is fun. I smell like lavender now!

Mommy dragged me to the commissary after that. I don't like the commissary. Too many people come up and try to talk to me or touch my hair. One or two old folks, fine. But today there were five. Beauty is a curse! And we found out that they aren't selling blueberries right now!! Very disappointed. More raspberries and bananas for me then! It was so rainy today, my hood kept blowing off my head on the way to the car. My hair was absolutely ruined!

I was pretty tired when we got home. Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner (my favorite!!), and then I was sent to bed immediately.

A lazy, rainy day filled with yummy food and playing couch monster/watching football with Daddy. It's good to be me. :)

A lazy Saturday

Today was a good day :)

I slept in till about 10 and I think Mommy did too. Neither of us was cranky today! Breakfast was yummy, as always. A raspberry Nutrigrain bar and another banana. Mom says she got too many bananas last time she went grocery shopping. I miss blueberries. They are a lot less messy. But don't worry, I still really like eating bananas.

I chose my own outfit today. Gray tights with my pink hooded tunic. It's sweatshirt material so it's nice and warm. Mom wanted to do my hair again today but I just wanted to go for the casual look, so I let her know what was up. And down it stayed :)

Lunch was also yummy, a veggie burrito! It was actually Mommy's lunch, but I got so upset when she started eating it in front of me without offering to share (RUDE!) that she ended up giving it to me and making herself another one. I don't get why Mom and Dad don't share their food. I mean, I ALWAYS offer some of what I'm eating. Always. Sometimes I'll even taste it first and if it's particularly yummy, I'll pull it out of my mouth and offer that up. They don't usually accept what I offer, but at least I'm willing to share.

After lunch was an extremely long nap. A solid two hours of sleeping. I woke up refreshed and a little stinky. Mom was sick all day (I blame my new brother or sister, that kid is already bugging the crap out of me) so Daddy had the honors. He was impressed. I think I take after him. He also did a really good job so I let him know. Applause is good for an old man's self esteem. So are high fives, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love those too. So I think he was feeling pretty good after his applause and a high five. Good enough to order pizza even!!

Onion, pepperoni, and anchovy pizza. I actually really enjoyed it. I had a little bit of his and a lot of Mom's. She got chicken alfredo. Whoo boy, rich. But yummy! Dinner was delicious. I actually ate more than Mommy did! Dad can still out eat me but I'm closing the gap!

Oh! I got a card from Great Grandma Ginia today. When I saw it, I said, "Oh look!" and then made sure to show it off to Ben and Daddy. It's a picture of a beautiful blonde girl giving a big hug to a black cat. It might as well be me and Ben! I really liked it. I love getting mail! And opening it, too, of course.

It looks like I'll be getting a bath soon, hopefully followed by a reading of my favorite book, Babies on the Move. And then I guess it'll be bed time.

Until tomorrow! Pisel out.

My exciting day

When I last left off, I was about to nap and then enjoy some spaghetti. I have a theory-- if you don't have to take your shirt off, you are not eating your 'sghetti right. It was so good. Lunchtime is one of my favorites! After my spaghetti, my shirt was changed from pink long sleeve tee to the white sweater with a teddy bear on it Auntie Martie gave me. It sure gets cold up here! That sweater has come in handy, let me tell you.

Weeeeelllllll... after lunch, things went downhill. I found one of Mom's allergy pills on the floor of their bedroom. I only sucked on it for a second, Mom says there was still 3/4 left when she pulled it out of my mouth but the advice nurse still told her to take me to the ER. So to the ER we went. Do you know how they take temperatures in the ER?! I do. It was NOT fun. And the doctor thought it was soooooo funny when Mom asked him if he had Vaseline (he did, glad he used it). But still. We were seen really really quickly, much to the annoyance of the others in the waiting room. Anyway, the doc said I'd be fine, that 1/4 of a pill is actually the recommended dose for a two year old so it's no big deal-- I'll just be allergy free for a couple of days. Which is cool, I guess. Was a rectal thermometer worth not sneezing for a day or two? Meh.

Anyway, from the hospital to Taco Bell where Daddy got me my new favorite food-- a chicken flatbread sandwich. Yum! Mommy insisted on a veggie, too, so mushy boiled carrots straight from the fridge as well. Those are only okay. Don't get me wrong, I still inhaled them and demanded more. But they're not my favorite.

In summation, long day. I hope I sleep in tomorrow.

Until next time!

Halloween!!!

I am SOOOOO excited for Halloween. I chose my costume myself, I'm gonna be a lion! Mommy lets me wear it every day. I make a good lion. Daddy made me steak a couple days ago because he says that's what a lion eats. It was good. I'll add steak to the list of food I love.

Yay! My first blog :)

Mommy started this blog for me because apparently some family members really miss me and want to be updated on the goings on of my life. I can’t blame them. So here’s what’s going on with me today. :)

I woke up in a cranky mood. I usually do. I tend to get pretty lonely in the morning. I mean, you're in there, all alone in your crib, no one to talk to or high five. It sucks. So I called for Mom, and she came and got me and made me breakfast. I. Love. Food. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. I had plain cheerios and one whole banana. It was so yummy! I can be a little enthusiastic when I eat so I needed a change of clothes… which leads me to my outfit for the day. Skinny jeans, from Old Navy. Pink long sleeve tee with ruching on the shoulders. Pink and white flowered socks. White and silver-glitter mary jane sneakers. Piggy tails. I look good. I’m even using my pink binkie today so I can coordinate fully.

I will admit though, I hated to be changed out of my jammies. I got to wear my favorite ones last night. They are white long johns with pink and purple polka dots. I demand they be worn every night, but I don’t always win. I actually have multiple pairs of them, I love them so much.

Anyway, I’m getting sleepy. I’m actually drifting off at this very moment. It’s probably catnap time. And then left over spaghetti for lunch!!!!!!!!!!
Until next time.. Pisel out!
